SEATTLE, Wash. – June 12, 2018 – Board Certified Radiation Oncologist Brian Lawenda, M.D. with Northwest Cancer Clinic will be lecturing at Prostate Cancer Pathways for Patients and Caregivers, a free educational event presented by Us TOO International. The event will be held on Saturday, June 23 at Evergreen Health Medical Center, 12040 NE 128th St., in Kirkland, WA.
The event is designed to educate guests on the symptoms, surveillance and treatment options for prostate cancer. Dr. Lawenda will present on multiple topics at the symposium, beginning with men’s health risks including prostate cancer. During this segment, Dr. Lawenda will give an overview of men’s wellness in relation to the risk of prostate cancer and other diseases.
He will also present a segment on radiation oncology treatment options and side effects for patients and caregivers who wish to know more about their treatment choices. This presentation will inform guests of the advantages and disadvantages of various treatment options and what each option entails.
“Prostate cancer is a complex disease that affects thousands of lives across the country,” says Dr. Lawenda. “Awareness of the disease and its many treatment options can impact these patients’ lives for the better.”
Registration for this event is free but limited. Lunch will be provided for those who register. Guests may attend in-person or participate online through a live-streamed webcast. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for the event, with presentations occurring from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
